19/9/2011 - Feedback Report

After showing the draft of our production to our class audience we were able to gather feedback that should allow us to finalize our short film; some of the points raised were:

Corrections
  • Record Chris and Charlotte during the assault and import it on to a dip to black transition after to lengthen out and allow the audience to understand it is a sexual assault.
  • Remove the rain effect across the camera lens as it makes the short story seem more like a recording in the plot.
Continuity Issues
  • Charlotte is seen without tights at the start of the short film and with by the end when she arrives home the next morning.
Other Suggestions
  • Perhaps zoom in on Lily's (Charlotte) face as she looks up sitting in front of the mirror crying (this will allow a connection between her and the audience)

    The draft you showed the class was very good, the emotions of the characters (James worry for Lily and Lilys distraught) were clear to the audience and the music was a great choice to create a sad atmosphere. Also the watery effect to make it look like the viewer was seeing through her crying eyes in the shower scene was very effective and made it clear to the audience how she felt about the assault afterwards. I am looking forward to seeing the final production :)
